Rehabilitation of Bridge V at the port of Le Havre: a major project by Mediaco Maxilift

After several weeks of preparation, Mediaco Maxilift and its teams carried out an exceptional lifting operation at the port of Le Havre, to reinstall Bridge V, which had been displaced following a collision with a ship. The job mobilized a 600-tonne Liebherr LR1600-2 W crawler crane, backed up by two 200-tonne barge-mounted crawler cranes. The operation required the LR1600 to lift a total weight of 230 tonnes at a reach of 32 metres. For this operation, the LR1600-2 W was configured in a 54-meter SLDB version, with a 14 × 14-meter cradle, 150-ton turret weights and 300-ton Superlift weights positioned at 18 meters. This meticulous configuration ensured stable, precise and perfectly safe lifting, despite the complexity of the site and the constraints of the intervention zone.

With this latest large-scale operation, Mediaco Maxilift confirms its expertise in complex lifting operations in the port and industrial sectors.
The success of this mission marks an important stage in the restoration of Le Havre's infrastructure, helping to rapidly restore port traffic and secure strategic logistical access.
