Orders and electromobility on the rise for MAN Truck & Bus

Despite a sales decline in the first quarter of 2025 (-14%, to 20,600 units, and revenue of €3.1 billion, down 12% compared to the previous year), MAN Truck & Bus is showing encouraging signs. Order intake jumped 50% year-on-year, reaching its highest level since the end of 2022.
The energy transition is also gaining momentum: 380 electric trucks and buses were delivered, a spectacular increase of 178%, driven primarily by the continued strong demand for electric urban buses. MAN also delivered a large portion of the pre-series electric trucks to its customers during the first quarter. Series production of zero-emission trucks will begin in June in Munich, while MAN launched its own battery production in Nuremberg in April, a strategic investment of €250 million.
