Palfinger strengthens its service in Germany

The Palfinger Group has just inaugurated its new service center in Duisburg, now the second largest in Germany after the one in Ainring. Completely modernized and enlarged, the site is part of the Group's strategy to develop its global service network.

With a 1,300 m² hall, a 645 m² crane and boom assembly workshop, a training area and a new car wash, this site offers a modernized infrastructure to meet growing demand, particularly for customized solutions such as aerial work platforms. The site also accommodates part of Krefeld's aerial work platform business (35 employees): administrative and commercial functions (development, service, strategic purchasing, sales, spare parts center) will now be centralized here. Production, meanwhile, has been relocated to Löbau from 2023.
"This step is consistent with our strategic objective of doubling our service-related sales to 700 million euros by 2030. For us, service means offering customer-centric solutions, with maximum efficiency and optimum availability throughout the product life cycle", said Gerhard Sturm, Senior Vice President Global Sales & Service at Palfinger.

Around 300 guests attended the inauguration and discovered the new facilities.
