MAN Truck & Bus France and Enedis have signed a strategic partnership aimed at supporting the connection of electric vehicle charging infrastructures (IRVE) at customer depots as far upstream as possible. The aim is to facilitate the electrification of truck fleets by aligning connection times with those for the delivery of electric trucks.
" We are proud to join forces with Enedis to offer our customers a turnkey solution for electromobility. This partnership is an essential lever for decarbonizing transport in France and making electric trucks even more attractive ", emphasizes Jean-Yves Kerbrat, Managing Director of MAN Truck & Bus France.
This partnership includes raising customer awareness of the technical constraints and timetable for connection, supporting the MAN sales network in dealing with these issues, and promoting the decision-making tools offered by Enedis.
The approach also includes optimizing power demand for controlled, responsible recharging.
Enedis will also mobilize its ecosystem to support awareness-raising initiatives.
With this partnership, MAN and Enedis are responding to a critical challenge in the energy transition for heavy goods vehicles: securing access to energy to accelerate the deployment of electric trucks in France.
