Mediaco Heavy Lift moves an industrial lathe with an Enerpac gantry crane

Mediaco Heavy Lift mobilized an Enerpac SL200 hydraulic gantry crane to extract a 13-meter machining lathe from a plant in La Buffière (85).
The operation, carried out in a confined space, involved first lifting the 46-tonne main part, measuring 13 m long, 2.2 m wide and 2.7 m high, and then moving it to the truck loading point. While the lathe was suspended above the slide rail, the rails were separated, allowing the flatbed truck to reverse into the free space and lower the lathe. The process was repeated for the lathe's turntable, weighing 41 tonnes, with a diameter of 5.9 m and a height of 0.7 m.

" The Enerpac SL200 is ideal for this type of project, thanks to the gantry's small footprint," explains Jean-Baptiste Rault, Site Manager at Mediaco Heavy Lift. It offers us a very efficient alternative for projects where the use of a crane is not practical. "
The Enerpac SL200 Super Lift gantry crane is designed for lifting applications up to 2000 kN. It is equipped as standard with Enerpac Intellilift wireless controls. In addition, each gantry leg is equipped with a self-contained hydraulic system.
