On the site of Lot 2 of Line 17 of the Grand Paris Express, NGE and Cimolai have successfully installed a 200-meter viaduct over the A1 and A3 freeways, the busiest in Europe. The operation was completed in four nights, with all traffic shut down. The viaduct for the future metro was first assembled on a dedicated platform at Gonesse. It was then moved to its final position using the jacking method, at an average rate of 7 to 10 meters per hour. The structure rests on six piers located either alongside or in the center of the tracks. This crossing is a key stage in the future overhead section of the metro, which will link Saint-Denis Pleyel to Mesnil-Amelot. Ultimately, it will serve several economic hubs in northern Paris and benefit over 500,000 residents.
