A delicate project has just been completed on the Arch of Constantine in Rome: the installation of a lightning protection system on this emblematic monument to the imperial era. The 25-metre-high Arch of Constantine, located between the Circus Maximus and the Arch of Titus, required the services of Minguzzi Srl, an Italian company specializing in the rental and installation of aerial work platforms. To meet the requirements of the listed site, the company mobilized the Multitel MJ 375 telescopic boom lift, with a 37.5 m working height. Mounted on an IVECO 18t chassis, this boom lift can reach an offset of up to 25.80 m, with a payload in the basket of 120 kg, 280 kg at 24.30 m offset, and 500 kg at 20.80 m.
"This is not to flatter Multitel, but the MJ 375 proved to be an exceptional machine: the balance between performance at height, the impressive offset, the precision of the movements, as well as the reliability of Multitel's service and the availability and competence of Maurizio Bussi were some of the elements that prompted us to propose it for such a delicate operation on such a prestigious site as the Arch of Constantine" said Stefano Minguzzi.
