Mercedes-Benz Trucks expands its range of electric trucks

Mercedes-Benz Trucks completes its range of battery-electric trucks with new variants of the eActros 600, its flagship model for long-distance transport. Designed on the same technological basis (electric drive axle, LFP batteries, latest-generation multimedia cockpit, new ProCabin), these new models will incorporate tractors, rigids with additional wheelbases, different battery configurations and cabs with a modular design. They will be available to order this autumn, for production in Wörth in 2025. The aim is to meet a wide range of payload and range requirements, based on an optimized modular system.

"Our aim is to accelerate the decarbonization of the industry by electrifying more and more transport applications," says Achim Puchert, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Trucks. With the new variants, which will build on the strengths of the eActros 600, we want to offer our customers the best of Mercedes Benz Trucks' modular system and help them manage their transport solutions battery-powered and economically."

Launched at the end of 2024, the eActros 600 has already covered over 20,000 km in real-life conditions, and won the title of International Truck of the Year 2025. It offers a range of up to 500 km (or even more with intermediate recharging), thanks to a battery capacity of 621 kWh. The range also includes the eActros 300/400, the first battery-powered electric vehicle for heavy goods transport, followed a year later by the eEconic, specifically designed for urban waste disposal. In 2026, a small series of the new eArocs 400 for urban transport of building materials will be launched.

Mercedes-Benz Trucks will support its move towards electrification with a semi-public charging network, with 3,000 points in Europe by 2030.
