Wiedemann Transporte completed the first mission for its new CombiMAX PA-X from Faymonville, transporting a 73-tonne drilling rig from a hydroelectric power plant in Landsberg, Bavaria. Configured as a 2+6 axle version, the semi-trailer stood out for its maneuverability in confined spaces, with a steering angle of up to 60°. One of its key advantages: a reduced loading height of 790 mm, which facilitates passage under engineering structures and optimizes stability. Thanks to a permissible load of 12 t per axle and a telescopic loading surface of up to 15.4 m, the convoy has a greater capacity than the previous model in the Wiedemann fleet, while remaining more compact. The 73-tonne drilling rig was loaded with millimeter precision onto the 900-millimeter-wide double ramps.
The cargo was transported 95 km overnight to Schrobenhausen and arrived without incident.
