Two new Eco500 Cometto electric SPMTs have joined the Mammoet fleet. Compact and emission-free, they are particularly suited to operations indoors or in confined areas, where conventional trailers cannot operate. With its "joker" axles, the Eco500 can be configured with two, three or four axles, or a 2 x 4 axle combination, for a load capacity ranging from 67 to 274 tonnes. When lowered, it measures just 670 mm in height. Thanks to its innovative design, with a powertrain integrated under the platform and patented pendular suspension, the Eco500 can move heavy loads while reducing noise, pollution and footprint.
"Our priority is to make lifting and heavy transport projects safer, more efficient and more sustainable. This means developing and adopting innovative technologies. The Eco500 is compact, electric and compatible with our current equipment: it fits in perfectly with our fleet," stresses Ludo Mous, Global Director of SPMT equipment at Mammoet.
Already operational, these new vehicles complete Mammoet's electric fleet alongside its SPMTs, electric cranes and zero-emission rigging systems.
