Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH and Tenstar Simulation have formalized a new stage in their collaboration, aimed at further developing their mobile crane simulator. Based on the LTM 1060-3.1 mobile crane model, the simulator enables operators to be trained without immobilizing a real crane, while reducing the risks and costs associated with training. Electrically powered, it is also part of a low-carbon approach. The current version now incorporates the functions of wedging and block assembly/disassembly.
Launched in 2024, this immersive 4D training tool is attracting growing interest from professionals. "At Bauma, we saw a real buzz. Visitors were enthusiastic and surprised by the level of development already achieved," says Julian Rapp, Product Manager at Liebherr.
Featuring a mobile platform, VR headsets and realistic controls, it offers a complete driving experience, available in 25 languages. Liebherr and Tenstar plan to extend the catalog to other crane models, with the ambition of creating a true simulation universe dedicated to lifting.
